7 Layer Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. uncooked rice
    1 c. whole kernel corn, drained
    salt and pepper
    2 cans tomato sauce, divided
    3/4 c. water, divided
    1/2 c. each: finely chopped onion and green peppers
    1 lb. ground beef
    4 strips bacon
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Place the rice and corn in layers in a 2-quart casserole with tight fitting lid.
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Pour over 1 can tomato sauce, 1/2 cup water, chopped onion and green peppers and the ground beef.
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Pour over the second can of tomato sauce and 1/4 cup water.
    Cover with strips of bacon.
    Cover; bake for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
    Uncover; bake 30 minutes longer, or until bacon is crisp.
