Faye'S Cranberry Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. nuts
    1/4 c. shortening
    3/4 c. orange juice
    1 egg, beaten
    2 c. fresh cranberries
Preparation
    Sift together flour and sugar. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Combine orange juice and egg. Pour all at once with dry ingredients. Mix just enough to dampen; fold in nuts and cranberries. Spoon in greased loaf pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until crust is golden brown. Remove from pan. Cool. Store overnight for easy slicing.
