Simple Seafood Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. beef stock
    1 large can tomatoes
    1 small can tomato paste
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 c. flour
    3 ribs celery, chopped
    1 medium onion
    1/2 green pepper
    2 lb. pkg. sliced okra
    1 lb. shrimp, cleaned
    1 lb. crab meat
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Combine beef stock, tomatoes, tomato paste and bay leaf in large saucepan.
    Bring to boil.
    Brown flour in a small amount of oil in saucepan.
    Add celery, onion and green pepper.
    Cook for 2 minutes.
    Add okra to stock mixture.
    Simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
    Add shrimp.
    Cook for 30 minutes.
    Add crab meat.
    Salt and pepper. Cook for 30 minutes longer.
    Serve over rice.
    Yields 8 to 10 servings.
