Mother'S Bread Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. sliced small to medium cucumbers
    6 c. small white onions, sliced
    1/3 c. granulated pickling spice
    5 c. sugar
    3 c. cider vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Combine cucumbers and onions.
    Add salt; cover with cracked ice or ice cubes.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Let stand 3 hours; drain well. Rinse and drain well again.
