Grandma'S Custard Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 c. sugar
2 1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. scalded milk
1 (9-inch) pie crust shell
nutmeg (optional)
Preparation

Combine the first 4 ingredients, mixing well.
Pour 1/4 cup scalded milk in egg mixture.
Stir well.
Then slowly add rest of milk, stirring constantly.
Pour mixture into pie crust.
Sprinkle with nutmeg, if desired.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes; turn down to 375\u00b0 until firm.
