New Orleans Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    salt and pepper to taste
    6 medium squash
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. cream
    2 medium onions, chopped
    8 oz. sour cream
    1 can chopped water chestnuts
    4 to 5 c. cheese
Preparation
    Brown beef with salt and pepper.
    Drain off grease.
    Boil squash and drain.
    Beat eggs and cream together.
    Mix egg mixture with squash.
    Stir in meat and onions.
    Add sour cream and water chestnuts.
    Add 1 1/2 cups cheese to mixture.
    Put in large casserole dish in layers:
    meat, then cheese.
    Top with cheese. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
