Texas Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large onions, sliced
    2 green peppers, cut fine
    3 Tbsp. Crisco
    1 lb. hamburger
    2 c. tomatoes
    1/2 c. uncooked rice
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cook onions and green peppers slowly in Crisco until mixture falls apart.
    Add rice, tomatoes and seasonings.
    Arrange in large casserole; cover and bake in moderate oven (375\u00b0) for 45 minutes or until done.
    Serves 8.
