Broccoli With Ripe Olive Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cloves garlic, crushed
    1/4 c. olive oil
    1/2 c. finely chopped black olives
    1 to 2 tsp. lemon juice
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 (2 lb.) bunch broccoli
Preparation
    Saute garlic in oil in small saucepan over medium-low heat until golden, about 3 minutes; do not let brown.
    Discard garlic. Add olives, lemon juice, salt and pepper to oil; cook 2 to 3 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Trim broccoli; divide into flowerets, reserving stem and stalks for other use.
    Cook flowerets in 1-inch of water in large saucepan, covered, over medium heat 3 to 5 minutes or until tender.
    Meanwhile, heat oil mixture.
    Drain broccoli.
    Place on plate.
    Pour hot oil over. Toss to combine.
    Makes 4 servings.
