Chicken Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. scallions
    3 c. diced, cooked chicken, cut up
    16 oz. can stewed tomatoes
    2 1/2 c. chicken broth
    10 oz. pkg. frozen okra
    1/4 c. chopped parsley
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/2 c. diced celery
    1/4 c. diced green pepper
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    3 bay leaves
    1 to 2 tsp. file powder
    3 drops hot pepper sauce
    1/4 c. uncooked regular rice
Preparation
    Melt butter in large saucepan over medium heat. Cook onion, celery and green pepper until tender.
    Add remaining ingredients, except rice.
    Bring to a boil.
    Stir in rice.
    Reduce heat. Simmer uncovered for 20 minutes or until rice is tender.
    Makes approximately 6 (1 cup) servings.
