Angel Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 egg whites
    a little salt
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. sugar
    heavy cream
    coconut
Preparation
    Butter and flour a glass pie plate.
    Preheat oven at 275\u00b0. Beat egg whites, salt and cream of tartar until soft peaks form. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1 cup sugar.
    Beat slowly until sugar is blended.
    Put in pie plate (try to form a mound with the filling, less on sides, more in middle).
    Bake for 1 hour at 275\u00b0.
