Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. applesauce
    2 c. butter
    3 c. sugar
    3 eggs, beaten
    4 3/4 c. flour
    3 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 tsp. allspice
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    3 c. walnuts, pecans or mix
    3 c. raisins
    9 slices canned pineapple, well drained
    4 jars (8 oz. each) red or green maraschino cherries
Preparation
    Heat applesauce and while hot, add to butter and sugar.
    Beat in beaten eggs.
    Sift together dry ingredients.
    Use a portion of flour mixture to coat chopped nuts, raisins, pineapple and cherries.
    Add flour to creamed mixture.
    Blend and add nuts and fruit.
    Bake in a large greased tube pan at 325\u00b0 about 1 1/2 hours.
