Cherry Chocolate Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe

1 pkg. chocolate cake mix
2 cans dark sweet cherries, pitted
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation

Drain cherries, reserving juice.
Cook cherry juice with cornstarch until thickened.
Stir cherries back into thickened juice mixture.
Mix cake mix according to package directions.
