Marinara Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, minced
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 lb. ground beef
    3 1/2 c. (#1 12 oz. can) Italian-style tomatoes
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 bay leaf
    pinch of ground basil
Preparation
    Brown onion and garlic lightly in oil in saucepan. Add meat and cook until brown, stirring with fork. Add remaining ingredients and simmer uncovered 1 1/2 hours.
