Red Velvet Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. shortening
    7 eggs
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 c. plain flour
    1 c. milk
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 bottle red food coloring (1 oz.)
Preparation
    Mix 1 cup of sugar at a time with shortening.
    Beat in eggs one at a time.
    Combine salt and flour.
    Add to cream mixture alternately with milk.
    Blend in vanilla and food coloring.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
