Jiffy Nutmeg Cake - cooking recipe

4 c. all-purpose flour
3 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. nutmeg
3 c. heavy cream
6 large eggs
1/4 c. dark rum or brandy
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour four 7 1/4-inch pans (there's no need to bake all batter at once).
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and nutmeg in large bowl.
Add cream, eggs and rum; beat with electric mixer on low speed for 1 minute, or until well blended.
Increase speed to medium; beat 3 minutes longer, until thick.
Pour into prepared pans.
Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until a pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool in pans on wire rack for 10 minutes.
Remove from pans; let cool completely.
