Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
5 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. sugar
3/4 c. vegetable shortening
2 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Combine all dry ingredients. Cut in shortening and mix with hands.
Add buttermilk and yeast mixture and mix.
Keep covered in refrigerator until ready to cut out biscuits.
Remaining dough can be kept in refrigerator a week or two.
Bake biscuits 12 minutes at 400\u00b0.
