Candy And Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. sour milk (add 1 Tbsp. white vinegar to milk)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. cut-up or mini marshmallows
    1/2 pkg. chocolate bits
    1/4 c. brown sugar (light or dark)
    2 Tbsp. butter (unmelted)
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (walnuts or your favorite)
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg and beat one minute. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk and vanilla. Blend in marshmallows and chocolate bits. Pour in greased pan. Mix brown sugar, butter and nuts together. Sprinkle over batter. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
