Milky Way Cake - cooking recipe

6 Milky Way candy bars
1 c. butter, softened
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. soda
2 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 1/4 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Melt candy bars and 1/2 cup butter in saucepan over low heat. Cream remaining 1/2 cup butter and sugar in mixer bowl until fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add soda and sifted flour alternately with buttermilk, beginning and ending with flour mixture and beating well after each addition. Stir in melted candy, vanilla and pecans.
Pour into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Cool.
Invert onto serving plate.
Yields 12 to 24 servings.
