Orange Tea Bread - cooking recipe

3 c. flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. orange rind, grated
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. orange juice
2 Tbsp. shortening, melted
1 c. walnuts, chopped
1 1/4 c. milk
Preparation

Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
Combine the orange rind and sugar. Add to the flour mixture. In a separate bowl, combine and beat the egg, orange juice, milk and shortening. Pour the liquid mixture into the flour mixture. Fold in the walnuts, stirring until blended.
Divide the batter between two greased loaf pans and bake at 350\u00b0 until done, about 50 minutes. Makes 2 loaves.
