Butterscotch Refrigerator Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 cup butter or margarine
    1 c. brown sugar, packed
    1 egg, well beaten
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. pecans or other nuts, chopped
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift together dry ingredients and set aside. Cream butter and sugar well.
    Add egg and vanilla, mix well then add dry ingredients.
    Mix in nuts.
    Shape and roll dough into a roll about 2 1/2 or 3 inches in diameter.
    Wrap cookie roll in wax paper or plastic wrap.
    Chill in refrigerator until firm.
    Slice into round slices about 1/4 inch thick.
    Bake on cookie sheets in 400\u00b0 oven for 7 to 10 minutes or until cookies are lightly browned.
    These are crispy crunchy cookies.
