Grandma'S English Trifle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 prepared loaf pound cake
    1/4 to 1/2 c. raspberry jam
    1 pkg. (3 to 3 1/2 oz.) pudding mix
    2 c. milk
    1 c. whipping cream
    3 tsp. confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Slice pound cake into nine pieces.
    Line the sides of a 2-quart glass bowl with jam.
    Spread cake pieces and fill the center also with cake pieces.
    Prepare pudding.
    Pour over cake; chill.
