Apricot Nut Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 oz. dried apricots
1/2 c. sugar
1 (3 oz.) pkg. apricot or orange gelatin
1 c. hot liquid (apricot cooking water plus boiling water)
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (room temperature)
1 (8 1/4 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
1/4 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

In saucepan, place apricots with enough water to cover.
Bring just to simmer; reduce heat and simmer, covered, until apricots are tender (10 to 15 minutes).
Drain, reserving liquid.
