Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. shortening
2 large eggs
3 Tbsp. sour milk (1 Tbsp. vinegar and 2 Tbsp. milk)
1 generous c. mashed bananas
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. broken walnuts
Preparation

Mix together thoroughly sugar, shortening and eggs.
Stir in sour milk and banana.
Sift together and stir in flour, baking powder and soda.
Add walnuts and pour into well-greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Let stand 20 minutes before baking.
Preheat oven to 350\u00b0 and bake for 50 to 60 minutes.
Toothpick inserted in center will come out clean.
Cool in pan for 10 to 15 minutes, then wrap in foil and refrigerate.
