Applesauce Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. packed dark brown sugar
1 c. margarine or butter (2 sticks), softened
1/2 c. apple juice
2 tsp. ground ginger
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground allspice
1 (8 oz.) jar unsweetened applesauce
3 large eggs
confectioners sugar (optional)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease 10-inch Bundt pan.
Into a large bowl, measure all ingredients except confectioners sugar.
With mixer at low speed, beat ingredients until well blended, constantly scraping bowl with rubber spatula.
Increase speed to high; beat 2 minutes, occasionally scraping bowl. Pour batter into pan.
Bake gingerbread 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool gingerbread in pan on wire rack 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely on rack. Sprinkle top of gingerbread lightly with confectioners sugar, if you like. Makes 16 servings.
