Creole Peas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 oz. pkg. frozen peas
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. chopped green pepper
    2 Tbsp. butter
    8 oz. can tomatoes, cut up
    2 tsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Cook peas and drain.
    In saucepan, cook onion and green pepper in butter until tender, but not brown.
    Drain tomatoes, reserving liquid.
    Add tomatoes to cooked onion.
    Stir in peas, 1/2 teaspoon salt and dash of pepper.
    Blend tomato liquid into cornstarch. Stir into pea mixture.
    Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
