Vienna Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 egg yolk
2 Tbsp. cold water
dash of salt
juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
3 large apples
1/4 c. raisins
1/3 c. almonds
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation

Beat
together\tegg
yolk, water, salt and lemon juice. Cream the
butter.
Blend
into
first
mixture.\tAdd
flour. Divide dough
in
half.
Roll
one piece out thin and fit into greased 12 x\t6-inch\tpan. Peel and core apples and chop fine with raisins and
almonds.
Spread mixture over dough in pan. Top with remaining dough, rolled out thin.
Brush with beaten egg.
Bake in hot oven at 400\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
