Pumpkin Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 c. smashed pumpkin
1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
Preparation

Cream together shortening and sugar.
Add eggs and beat well. Sift together dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with pumpkin, blending well after each addition.
Stir in nuts, if desired.
Pour into well greased loaf pan.
Bake in moderate 350\u00b0 oven for 45 to 50 minutes.
Remove from pan; cool on rack.
Wrap and store overnight.
