Refrigerator Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 pounds cucumbers, peeled and sliced
4 tablespoons pickling salt
1 - 1/2 teaspoons mustard seed
3/4 teaspoon celery seed
1/2 teaspoon alum
1 large onion, sliced
3 cups sugar
2 - 1/2 cups white vinegar
Preparation

In large bowl combine salt, mustard seed, celery seed, onion, sugar, and white vinegar. Put pickles in jars, cover with vinegar mixture. Put in refrigerator. Keeps for 2 weeks.
