Angel Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    8 saltine crackers, crumbled
    1 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation
    Beat egg whites with cream of tartar and add sugar gradually. Continue beating until stiff peaks hold their shape.
    Fold in cracker crumbs and nuts.
    Place mixture in a greased 8 or 9-inch pie pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
    Cool in refrigerator. Next day, fill with whipped cream as pie sinks in the middle as it cools.
