Russian Sauerkraut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. scalded skim milk, cooled to 110~
    1/2 c. lukewarm water
    1 Tbsp. dry yeast
    1/2 c. honey
    3 to 5 c. whole wheat bread flour
    2 to 4 c. white flour
    2 c. sauerkraut, drained
    1 large carrot, grated
    1 Tbsp. maple syrup
    1 egg white, lightly beaten
Preparation
    In a large bowl, combine milk, water, yeast and honey.
    Stir vigorously.
    Let bowl stand in a warm place 5 to 10 minutes or until yeast foams.
    Stir in enough whole wheat flour to make a thick batter.
    Cover bowl with a towel and let rise in a warm place 30 minutes.
    Add the white flour, a little at a time, until a stiff dough forms.
