Congealed Spiced Peach Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) can sliced peaches
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. sugar
    12 whole cloves
    1/8 tsp. cinnamon
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. orange Jell-O
    3/4 c. cold water
Preparation
    Drain peaches, saving 1 cup syrup.
    Chop peaches coarsely. Bring syrup, vinegar, sugar and spices to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.
    Strain syrup and discard cloves.
    Dissolve gelatin in hot syrup.
    Add cold water and peaches.
    Chill until slightly thickened.
    Pour into mold or 9 x 9-inch dish.
