Cereal-Peanut Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    dash of salt
    1 c. peanut butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. crisp rice cereal
    1 c. Corn Flakes, slightly crushed
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate pieces
Preparation
    Combine syrup, sugar and salt in saucepan; bring to a full boil.
    Stir in peanut butter.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in vanilla, cereals and chocolate chips.
    Press into a buttered 9
    x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Chill 1 hour.
    Cut in small bars or squares.
    (For easy serving, store in refrigerator.)
    Makes about 2 dozen pieces. (Tastes almost like a candy bar.)
