Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 egg
    2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar; beat in egg.
    Stir in molasses. Sift dry ingredients into mixture.
    Add water.
    Drop onto greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 minutes.
