German Potato Dumpling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 medium size potatoes (3 lb.)
    2 medium size onions (slice, saute in 2 Tbsp. oil)
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 lb. Swiss or Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Boil potatoes until fork pokes through.
    Peel and mash while hot!
    Add salt and flour to form patties 1/2-inch thick.
    Cook patties in boiling water for 5 minutes.
    Drain and place in 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan and layer with cheese and onion.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
