Favorite Meat Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/4 c. light brown sugar, packed
    1/4 c. cider or wine vinegar
    1 tsp. mustard
    1 large egg
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. crushed saltine crackers
    2 lb. ground beef (extra lean)
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
Preparation
    Mix tomato sauce, sugar, vinegar and mustard.
    Pour 1/2 the tomato mixture in large mixing bowl.
    Add egg, salt, pepper and crackers; blend well.
    Add beef and onion; mix well.
    Shape meat mixture into loaf in a 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
    Spread with remaining tomato mixture.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
