Texas Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. pinto beans
    3 slices bacon
    1 1/2 lb. chuck, diced
    1 clove garlic, split
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. tomatoes, sliced
    1 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Wash beans, cover with cold water and let stand overnight. Drain beans and place in large saucepan with 2 quarts water.
    Bring to boil, then simmer 1 1/2 hours.
    Drain and reserve 1 cup liquid. Cut up bacon slices.
    Saute in Dutch oven 2 minutes.
    Add meat which has been browned and drained of all fat but 1 tablespoon.
