Persimmon Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. persimmon pulp
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 to 2 c. nuts
    1 c. raisins
Preparation
    Mix pulp, soda, sugar and shortening until creamy.
    Add egg, sifted flour and spices.
    Drop from spoon and bake at 375\u00b0 for 12 minutes.
    Check.
    Makes 4 dozen.
