Sloppy Lentils(Swimmer'S Delight) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. lentils
    1 large chopped onion
    1 chopped carrot
    4 c. water
    1 chopped green pepper
    4 c. tomato sauce
    1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 tsp. basil
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1 Tbsp. salt
    large pot
Preparation
    Place lentils, onion,
    carrot
    and
    green pepper into a large pot with 4 cups water.
    Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Add tomato sauce and
    seasonings
    to
    the
    pot.
    Simmer for 30 more minutes.
    Serve over rice (yellow).
    Serves 6 to 8.
