Cheddar Chicken Divan - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. margarine or butter
1/4 c. flour
2 c. milk
2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli or asparagus spears, cooked well and drained (may use canned asparagus spears)
3 lb. cooked chicken breast (4 whole breasts)
1/4 tsp. salt
dash of cayenne
sliced almonds
Preparation

Make a white sauce with margarine, flour, milk and seasoning. Add cheese; stir until melted.
Arrange broccoli/asparagus and chicken in 11 1/2 x 8-inch baking dish.
Top with sauce and sprinkle with almonds.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
Serves 6 to 8.
