Mississippi Roasted Squirrel - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 small squirrels
    3/4 c. oil
    1/4 c. lemon juice
    2 c. seasoned bread crumbs
    1/2 c. milk
    1 c. sliced mushrooms, sauteed with 1/4 c. chopped onions
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. black pepper
    4 Tbsp. bacon fat
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Preparation
    Wash squirrels thoroughly; dry.
    Cover with cooking oil mixed with lemon juice.
    Let stand 1 hour.
    Combine crumbs with just enough milk to moisten along with all other ingredients, except bacon fat.
    Stuff the squirrels.
    Place in roaster; brush on bacon fat.
    Roast, uncovered, at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours, basting about every 15 minutes with drippings.
