Chinese-Style Spareribs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 medium clove garlic, chopped
    1 envelope Lipton beef mushroom soup
    1 can tomato puree
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    1/4 c. white vinegar
    1/4 c. chili sauce or salsa
    5 lb. spareribs
Preparation
    In large saucepan, melt butter and cook garlic with soup.
    Heat 1 minute until golden brown.
    Stir in tomato puree, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar and chili sauce.
    Bring to a boil, then simmer, stirring occasionally.
    In aluminum foil-lined baking pan, arrange meat.
    Bake for 20 minutes.
    Brush ribs with sauce and cook another 50 minutes.
