Southern Cream Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening, butter or oleo
    2 c. sugar
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. sour cream
    5 c. flour (sift and level)
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream shortening with 2 cups sugar until light and fluffy. Add beaten eggs, vanilla and sour cream.
    Sift together flour, soda, baking powder and salt.
    Beat until smooth.
    Fold in walnuts; drop by heaping teaspoon onto greased baking sheet 2-inches apart.
    Mix 3 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle on top of cookies.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes until lightly brown. Remove from pan and cool.
    Makes 6 dozen or more.
