Cheesy Hash Browns - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1 thawed bag hash browns
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    8 oz. sour cream
    1/2 c. finely chopped onion
    2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1/2 stick margarine
    2 c. corn flakes
Preparation
    Melt 1 stick margarine in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Spread hash browns on top of melted margarine.
    Mix soup, sour cream, onion (optional) and cheese together in a bowl, then spread mixture on top of potatoes.
    Melt 1/2 stick margarine in bowl, then add the crushed corn flakes together; sprinkle over top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
