Grannie Buster'S Venison Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 2 lb. venison roast
    2 c. sliced onions
    2 bay leaves
    1/2 tsp. peppercorns
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    3 to 4 tarragon leaves
    salt pork or bacon slices
    whole garlic cloves
    1 c. sour cream
    1 c. red currant jelly
Preparation
    For 24 hours, marinate venison in a crock which contains equal parts water and vinegar, enough to cover roast and the onions, bay leaves, peppercorns, celery seed and tarragon leaves.
    Then remove roast and drain.
