Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
5 to 6 Tbsp. cold water
3 c. apples, diced
2/3 c. less 2 Tbsp. shortening
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 c. sugar
Preparation

Roll dough as making pie crust using flour, shortening, salt and water.
Roll in one large sheet.
Spread apples over and add cinnamon and half the sugar over top.
Roll dough as for jelly roll.
Cut in 1 1/2-inch wide pieces and place on sides in baking dish.
Add remaining sugar.
Cover with boiling water and bake at 350\u00b0 for about 1/2 hour.
