Tea Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
3 eggs
dash of salt
4 level tsp. baking powder (with plain flour)
flavoring (your choice)
1 c. milk
flour (enough to form stiff dough, about 4 c.)
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening together.
Add eggs, one at a time, slightly beat.
Add remaining ingredients.
Sift flour and add to batter like biscuit dough.
Roll out and cut with cookie cutter. Place on cookie sheet and bake in 350\u00b0 oven until slightly brown. Use enough flour for rolling consistency or flour hands and roll into ball as you would a biscuit.
