Cheese Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 c. yellow cornmeal
1/2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1 egg
3/4 c. low-fat milk
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 c. corn kernels
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Coat inside of a 9 x 9-inch square baking pan with nonstick vegetable oil cooking spray.
Stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and pepper in a bowl. Stir in cornmeal and cheese. Beat egg slightly in a small bowl. Stir in milk, oil and corn. Add to dry ingredients.
Stir just until blended.
Pour batter into pan. Bake in preheated 400\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes until top is golden brown and springs back when gently pressed with a finger.
Cool on wire rack. Cut into squares to serve.
