Bavarian Meatballs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1/2 c. milk
    1/3 c. dry bread crumbs
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/3 c. minced onion
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 lb. 13 oz. can pears
    1 c. reserved pear juice
    1/4 c. vinegar
    2 cloves
    1 bay leaf
    1 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Beat egg; add milk, bread crumbs, salt and pepper.
    Mix well. Add onion and ground beef; mix gently, until ingredients are just combined.
    Shape into 2-inch meatballs.
    Brown slowly in oil in a large skillet.
    Drain excess fat from pan.
