Cheese Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1/4 c. shortening
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    1 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
    1/2 tsp. dry mustard
    dash of red pepper (optional)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
    Cut shortening into flour; stir in cheese, mustard and red pepper.
    Add milk; stir with fork until mix resembles coarse crumbs.
    Add milk and stir with fork until mixed.
    Turn dough out onto cloth; knead just until smooth.
    Roll out.
    Cut out and place biscuits on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
