Boston Creme Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. cream
    1/2 c. dark Karo syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients except nuts; boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally, to soft-ball stage.
    Let cool for 10 minutes.
    Add nuts.
    Beat until starting to thicken.
    Pour into buttered dish.
    When cool, cut in squares.
